About Us


After several years of working for a major high street optical chain, we felt that it was time to escape from the "conveyor-belt" attitude towards optical care and establish a workplace based on our experience and values


Joe and Alison started the practice with Adam K and Sue back in 1992. These original staff members are still with us today and have now been joined by Adam G, Sam and Sarah. Between us we have some 150 years of optical experience !


Our Aims


Our aim is, and has always been, to provide top quality service and professional, knowledgeable, unbiased advice on all aspects of eyecare and eyewear


We only deal with reputable manufacturers and suppliers, so we have total confidence in the products we sell and the services we offer


To ensure continuity of service, we do not employ locum optometrists, so all eye examinations and contact lens checkups are performed by either Joe or Alison
