We are rimless specialists and as well as having numerous samples for you to try on, we can custom-make almost any shape of lens you desire. We keep an extensive stock of the lovely Danish Lindberg designs, which are beautifully light, strong and hypoallergenic
We have a glazing lab and workshop on the premises, and can offer an emergency frame repair service, including soldered repairs, usually within an hour or so
We have an in-house computerised glazing facility, so if required we can reglaze your own frames on site and do not need to send them away. Unlike many companies, we make NO extra charge for this, but please note that NOT all frames are suitable for reglazing - please ask, we are happy to help !
One of the nicest things about being an independent optician is that, unlike most of the multiples, we are not tied to any particular manufacturer. We are therefore free to advise you on what is genuinely the best lens for your particular prescription and its intended use, rather than just what we happen to stock. We will also do our best to work within your budget requirements

So many varifocal lens problems are down to inaccurate lens measurements, so we use the latest Hoya dynamic camera system for precision
Year round, we stock a large number of sunglasses, including the Bolle & Serengeti ranges, as well as Lindberg sunwear
These can all be purchased as a straightforward sunglass, and many are also available as a prescription lens or goggle for spectacle wearers. Depending on the frame, the prescription aspect can either be made as a one-piece lens or as a prescription insert positioned behind the main lens. An insert is not quite as neat as an integrated design, but if your prescription changes, you only need to change the lenses in the insert ... !
We also supply prescription swimming goggles, either made exactly to your prescription, or as an off-the-peg goggle (both lenses the same - therefore much cheaper)
